With the thousands of hydraulic equipment manufactured each year for various work machines, Dynaset is truly gaining pace. Persistent product development has allowed the Ylöjärvi-based company to achieve a leading position in the sector, with the entire world as the playing field.
Even during our visit, there are products on the shipping room floor on route to three different continents. The export ratio of Dynaset’s turnover is more than 90%.
The equipment mainly manufactured by Dynaset include hydraulic generators, hydraulic high-pressure water pumps, and compressors. The company’s product range also includes magnet generators.
In practice, the unique nature of equipment manufactured by Dynaset is based on the fact that in their power production they utilize the hydraulic system of the work machine to which they are connected. Thus, the products are mobile-operated and can, therefore, be used very flexibly wherever the work site is located.
“The work machines of our clients are often used in areas which are difficult to reach, such as forests and mines. Our products ensure quick availability of auxiliary equipment,” says Juha Hämäläinen, Purchase Manager at Dynaset.
For example, welding and power-washing equipment are easy to transport along with the work machines due to Dynaset’s practical products.

With regard to hydraulic manifolds, Dynaset has already been in co-operation with ST-Koneistus since 1987. The scale of the duration of co-operation is emphasized well by the fact that Reijo Karppinen, Dynaset’s founder had only started designing and manufacturing hydraulic auxiliary equipment in his garage a year before.

ST-Koneistus is Dynaset’s leading supplier of hydraulic manifolds. This means an annual production of thousands of manifolds, as practically every Dynaset product contains one.
The spirit of the times also often carries a sense of haste in everything. Dynaset has experienced strong growth for more than a year, and this places additional challenges on the suppliers whose margins for error are already minimal.
“We have an excellent line of communication with ST-Koneistus, and the haste just underlines the importance of this. We receive quick responses to our queries, and whatever we ask about hydraulic manifolds, the answer is always thorough. Their know-how is at an extremely high level,” Varis adds.
The convergent take on things shared by Dynaset and ST-Koneistus, in general, is also evident in that both are currently in the process of building large extensions on their premises. The success of both the company and its clients demands investments, and both companies are aware of this.
Dynaset‘s lot will have 500 square meters of new production space and 1,000 square meters of new office space completed during the autumn. The extension to the production facilities of ST-Koneistus will be completed around the same time.
